Alison Bonn is a vertical screenwriter specializing in steamy microdrama love stories and rom-coms with heart and humor. Her debut professional series, Love Score, premiered on MyDrama in January 2026 and quickly ranked in a worldwide Top 20 MicroDramas compilation list. She was also recently selected to be a part of DramaBox’s 2026 Writers’ Pool.

Bonn, along with vertical writer Natalie Gergely, co-host VertiGals, a podcast dedicated to the craft of writing vertical microdramas. Together, they've interviewed some of the biggest names shaping the format. The podcast is available on YouTube, Spotify, and Apple Podcasts.

In addition to verticals, Bonn writes female-driven comedy features and true-story adaptations. Her work has been recognized by the ScreenCraft Family Screenplay Competition (Winner), Austin Film Festival (Semifinalist), PAGE Screenwriting Competition (Semifinalist), The Women’s Lab (Semifinalist), and the Nicholl Fellowship (Quarterfinalist). She has also attended the CineStory Retreat and Stowe Story Labs.

Before writing full-time, Bonn wore many eclectic career hats—from kindergarten substitute teacher to dirty stand-up comedian. She is an experienced hunter/jumper equestrian and lives in Los Angeles, where she’s raising one kid, one dog, and one husband.
